PM Modi launched the financing facility of Rs 1 lakh crore under the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched the financing facility of Rs 1 lakh crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund via video conferencing. The PM also released the sixth instalment of funds of Rs 17,000 crore to 8.5 crore farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme.
PM said in his address, “Today is Hal Shashti, the birth anniversary of Lord Balarama. Wishing all the countrymen, especially the peasant companions, a very happy birthday! On this very auspicious occasion, a special fund of one lakh crore rupees has been launched to prepare agricultural facilities in the country”.
“This will help in creating better storage, modern cold storage chain in villages and many employment opportunities will be created in the village,” the PM added. PM further said, “Along with this, I am also very satisfied with transferring Rs 17,000 crore as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to the account of 8.5 crore farmer families. The satisfaction is that the goal of this scheme is being achieved”.
Today, the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund has been launched, this will enable the farmers to make modern facilities for storage in their villages also. This scheme will help the farmers groups in the village, farmers committees, FPOs to build warehouses, cold storage, to set up industries related to food processing, Rs 1 lakh crore, he added.
